A Beginner’s Guide To Starting A Vegetable Garden

A beginner’s guide to starting a veg garden
The Telegraph (UK) has a really nice informative article on your first time vegetable garden. Although it’s writer(s) are England (UK) based and refer to UK suppliers, their information is applicable to all vegetable growers no matter where you live. It is very useful information if you garden in the USA, Australia or China.

This posting covers everything from choosing your gardens location, slug, snail and weed control to a good listing of what vegetables you may want to grow. It describes the vegetables, how and when to plant and harvest your garden vegetables.

Not from the USA. Please leave me comment about your home town and country.

  1. Nice to see a UK newspaper is being read on your side of the Atlantic. I don’t personally like The Telegraph but concede it does have some good articles on living.

  3. It is so funny that you posted this article today, as we were just looking at our garden – all closed up for the season – and wishing that we were gardening again and dreaming of “next year” already! 🙂

    • Re: Nikitaland – I think once you have become infected with the gardening-virus, our thoughts of last years, this years and next years gardens are never far away!
